Telecom Services Team Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast paced, busy environment leading a team of telecom specialists. As the Telecom Services Team Lead, you will be accountable for the overall management of the telecom services team.

Reporting to the Director of IT Services, the Telecom Services Team Lead will:

Role Requirements 

·         Embrace and contribute to culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes

·         Work as part of a team on projects between business units, telephony group and vendors

·         Apply cost reduction efforts to areas of responsibility

·         All aspects of processing assigned telecom invoices, including but not limited to receipt, documentation, tracking and acquiring approvals and submission to the accounting department

·         Process moves, adds, and change requests for global ICON offices

·         Report on telephony projects as assigned

·         Ability to complete tasks on time with no supervision

·         Ability to mentor team members on telecom support tasks

·         Develop and maintain working procedures pertaining to job responsibilities

·         Responsible for assigned telecom contracts regarding retention and renewal

·         Application administration and support for all existing or future applications

·         Perform after-hours duties as required

·         Assist telecom implementations and/or upgrades

·         Develop and maintain documentation regarding all office phone systems

·         Perform system programming as required

·         Implement telecom changes in a fashion whereby user impact is minimal. 

·         Effective communication to office staff and local management is necessary for any significant telecom changes or planned telecom outage activities.

·         Research telecom products and technologies to justify recommendations and support purchasing efforts

·         Ensure that all telecom checks and controls are performed according to the established schedule

·         Attend technical conferences and seminars to keep abreast of new technology developments.  Read trade magazines and utilize other resources to obtain the latest product information

·         Interact with cross functional teams, keeping them informed on project status updates with no supervision

·         Attend weekly Change Control meetings to support telecom changes when appropriate

·         Responsible for global telecom services to include but not limited to phone service, call centers, conferencing, mobile devices, electronic faxing and global telecommunications invoice processing

·         Create an environment that motivates people, identify development opportunities for self and others

·         Act as a coach and mentor and share expertise

·         Ensure that important tasks are completed on time by the appropriate resources

·         Assist management on departmental initiatives

Experience

·         5+ years of experience in a similar role preferably in medium-to-large scale global organization

·         Demonstrable experience in IT telecom services

Skills

·         Telecommunications experience

·         Microsoft Office and computer proficiency

·         Telecommunications Project Management experience

·         Problem solving and analytical thinking skills

·         Organizational and time management skills

·         Excellent written and verbal skills
