Overview:
The UX Designer at ICON is responsible for ensuring exceptional user experiences through the design of user interfaces. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design process, from conceptualization to final implementation. Your designs will balance user needs, business objectives, and technological feasibility, ensuring the delivery of intuitive and visually appealing products.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand project goals, user requirements, and business objectives.
- Conduct user research, gather insights, and translate them into meaningful design solutions.
- Define and document ICON's user interface standards to establish consistency and enhance usability.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to visualize and iterate on design concepts.
- Design intuitive user interfaces, considering usability, accessibility, and user-centered design principles.
- Develop high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design intent.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs and provide design support throughout the development process.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate on designs and improve user experiences.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in product design and user experience.
- Advocate for design thinking and user-centered approaches within the organization.
- Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of design systems, style guides, and design documentation.
- Adhere to ICON's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) policies and procedures
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a Product Designer or related role, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful product designs and user experiences.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and applying insights to inform design decisions.
- Strong visual design skills with an eye for aesthetics, typography, and layout.
- Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their impact on design feasibility.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate design concepts and rationale.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address complex design challenges.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative design environment.
