Overview:

The UX Designer at ICON is responsible for ensuring exceptional user experiences through the design of user interfaces. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design process, from conceptualization to final implementation. Your designs will balance user needs, business objectives, and technological feasibility, ensuring the delivery of intuitive and visually appealing products.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand project goals, user requirements, and business objectives.
  • Conduct user research, gather insights, and translate them into meaningful design solutions.
  • Define and document ICON's user interface standards to establish consistency and enhance usability.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to visualize and iterate on design concepts.
  • Design intuitive user interfaces, considering usability, accessibility, and user-centered design principles.
  • Develop high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design intent.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs and provide design support throughout the development process.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate on designs and improve user experiences.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in product design and user experience.
  • Advocate for design thinking and user-centered approaches within the organization.
  • Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of design systems, style guides, and design documentation.
  • Adhere to ICON's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Product Designer or related role, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful product designs and user experiences.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and applying insights to inform design decisions.
  • Strong visual design skills with an eye for aesthetics, typography, and layout.
  • Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their impact on design feasibility.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate design concepts and rationale.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address complex design challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative design environment.
