Bio
I joined ICON in 2012 as a Revenue Supervisor, having previously acquired 10 years of accounting experience within the finance and software industries. I currently manage a team of revenue accountants and accounting support staff and have experienced an excellent few years with them.
The main reason my team excels is that we all work together. We all watch out for each other and pitch in to fill any gaps rather than letting any work go undone – it keeps us all happy, trusting and, most importantly, on top of our work! It’s a pleasure to work amongst some of the brightest people in finance and accounting…this combination makes supervising my team a real pleasure.
At all levels of the company, I’ve experienced a great working attitude. My own managers have a strong vision for our department and are highly supportive of myself and my team. It’s quite easy to feel like a small cog in a machine when working for a large company but, with ICON, everybody is treated individually on their own merits – and I’ve experienced this at all levels of management. It means when we hear about ICON’s mission, values and strategy, it doesn’t sound like typical corporate narrative. On top of that, my managers encourage me to take advantage of development opportunities – I’m currently on part two of a Management Essentials course and feel that it’s already made a big difference! I value development and am happy that ICON does too – it definitely helps me stay motivated and feel like my career is progressing.
If you’re interested in working for ICON, it would be great if you are very team-orientated and focused on succeeding. I think working together to accomplish goals is critical to achieving in a large company – so if you are motivated by success and are smart, committed and care about others, you’d be a great fit at ICON.
