Part of ICON's Commercialization and Outcomes division, Mapi Research Trust is an independent, not-for-profit organization specializing in patient-reported outcomes and Clinical Outcome Assessments (COAs). For more than 30 years, Mapi Research Trust has collected, curated, analyzed, and distributed COA information to the global scientific community.

The COA Licensing team supports organizations (commercial and academics) seeking to license and implement COAs by providing guidance on permissions, access, available translations, and licensing requirements.

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager, COA Licensing to join our client-facing team. This position can be office-based, remote or hybrid.

As the primary point of contact for a portfolio of client accounts, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of COA licensing projects, from opportunity qualification and proposal development through delivery and account governance. You will partner with clients, copyright holders, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution while maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.

The successful candidate will combine strong project management capabilities with excellent client relationship management skills and experience in COA/eCOA licensing. You will thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and customer service standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of assigned client accounts, building trusted relationships and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of COA licensing projects, from request qualification and proposal preparation through project execution and final delivery.
  • Analyze client requirements and recommend appropriate licensing and operational solutions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities with internal stakeholders, copyright holders, and external partners to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Lead account governance activities, including business reviews, operational meetings, KPI reporting, and project status reviews.
  • Monitor project performance, risks, timelines, and deliverables, escalating issues proactively when required.
  • Develop quotations and proposals aligned with client requirements and licensing policies.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting to support quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance client experience and operational efficiency.
  • Operate effectively in a global, multicultural environment with clients and colleagues across multiple regions.
  • Responsible for strategic account planning, client retention, and identification of opportunities to expand engagement across assigned accounts

To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in account management, project management, client services, or a related client-facing role.
  • Proven experience in COA and/or eCOA licensing.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience managing strategic client relationships and governance processes.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to confidently lead client discussions and resolve issues in a professional and proactive manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a process-driven approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Why Join Mapi Research Trust?

  • Join the recognized global leader in Clinical Outcome Assessments, with over 30 years of industry expertise.
  • Be part of a growing organization within ICON, a leading international healthcare intelligence and clinical research organization.
  • Contribute to meaningful projects that support health outcomes research worldwide.
