Role Overview

The Business Applications Analyst will be responsible for maintaining production application environments. Additional responsibilities include maintaining applications in the development and test environments for pre-release testing. Perform application administration monitoring services, reviewing system and application logs. Provide technical support including maintenance of installed applications software; implementing, configuring, and testing new product versions with end users; Interact with business users to troubleshoot installation and implementation issues; Maintain proper system documentation and regularly review and maintain the ICON IT knowledge database to improve overall customer experience.  This role will be either 2nd Shift: 2pm – 11pm or Night Shift:  11pm- 8am

Role Requirements         

·         Support of Applications within ICON to meet SLA.

·         Provide Assistance to Support Analysts.

·         Liaises with Business unit staff on day-to-day support activities.

·         Contact Application Support Vendor when required.

·         Execute database changes to deliver required business functionality.

·         Ensure that all activities that apply to databases adhere to GCP regulatory and company SOP's.

·         Training of Junior Staff in support roles.

·         Active member of upgrades/projects where required.

·         To support experienced staff in planning and executing new implementations and application upgrades.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

·         Degree in an IT related discipline (eg Computer Science).

·         A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role

·         Experience of all or some of the following:  SQL Server, Oracle, MS-Access,

·         Must work independently as well as on a team and have good problem solving skills, attention to detail, verbal and written communications skills.
