Clinical Operations Manager

Effectively manage outsourced/sponsor dedicated staff ensuring high performance, quality delivery of client objectives in the region. The responsibilities of the Operations Manager include, but are not limited to:

Management of FSP staff (CRAs, CTAs, etc)

• Complete induction for new employees, establish goals and objectives
• Ensure timely submission and approval of time reports, expense reports and leave requests for assigned employees, monitor and update relevant data in the system
• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, monitor performance and conduct appraisals for each employee
• Create a positive relationship between the company, employees and ICON clients
• Conduct accompanied site visits, if applicable
• Ensure timely identification, resolution and escalation of issues

Client relationship management  

• Regular contact with clients to effectively manage the relationships
• Obtain regular client feedback to ensure outsourced staff meet performance expectations
• Ensure compliance with time and expense reporting requirements of client contracts
• Proactively plan for contract extensions, completions and terminations in collaboration with client and relevant departments

Business process management

• Participate in Business Development activities, as appropriate
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, as requested
• Up to 20% domestic and/or international travel, as needed

• Bachelor’s Degree or local equivalent, in life sciences, medicine or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in clinical trials
• Previous experience in managing direct reports
• High ability to identify, analyse and solve problems
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and management skills
• Ability to operate in a multi-cultural environment
