This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast paced, busy environment for a leading global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. Our Clinical Sample Processor will have the unique responsibility of receiving patient specimens into the laboratory and following correct accessioning procedures that include data entry of patient information, labelling and validation of specimens, quality checking of documentation, filing of documentation and maintaining the accessioning area in a clean and tidy condition.
Overview of the Role
  • Responsible for data entry of patient's demographics into the Protocol Administration Computer System (PACS). You will document and research any issues with received specimens including off line order entry (if the patients demographic information is missing or incorrect), notifying relevant departments if required and direct complex problems to the Accessioning Supervisor.
  • You will unpack packages, check and verify specimens received against accompanying requisition forms, maintain documentation, file and retrieve internal reports and forms as requested.
  • You will follow Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.), and adhere to Health and Safety regulations and security procedures at all times.
  • You will Bar Code labelling, validate specimens, and transport specimens to Technicians in the induction area to be analyzed.
Role Requirements
  • You must possess thorough knowledge of laboratory specimen collection and processing procedures, shipping, and specialty testing.
  • You will have a minimum of one year job related experience and hold a High School Diploma.
