About the Director Data Management role at ICON:

ICON is seeking a dynamic leader who will lead 5-6 senior level direct reports along with the wider EMEA data management workforce of 200 employees and delivery oversight for about 750 including India.

This key strategic role will report into ICON’s Head of Data Management EMEA. The successful candidate will help drive departmental strategic objectives and roadmap by overseeing multiple clients, project activities, departmental headcount and P&L. Work across multiple departments to drive client satisfaction and increase volume of business.

This role will also provide oversight to regional sales, revenue & margin, and headcount for global lead studies. You will provide support to business development on new proposals and will engage with clients to strengthen our business relationships and drive volume.

Fully accountable for pricing and bid support globally while having the opportunity to work as a Data Management Lead on key strategic partnerships. This role will also drive strategic initiatives around risk based data management, technology integrations, data standards governance and much more.

To succeed you will need:

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor degree or local equivalent in life sciences or appropriate field. We are seeking at least 12 years clinical data management experience, a minimum of 5 years management experience including project management, resource planning, staff recruitment, performance evaluations, career development and training.

Appropriate experience and understanding of at least one clinical data management system (e.g. RAVE, INFORM) and we are also seeking someone who is an active participant in industry seminars internally and externally (eg: SCDM, Transcelerate etc).
