Director, Project Management

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast paced, busy environment within ICON Laboratory Services (ILS), which has maintained robust organic revenue growth and profit margin expansion since 2014 and is focused on internal investment to strengthen and expand its services in support of drug development by pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies.

About the Director, Project Manager role within ICON: 

The Director, Project Management will serve as the Head of Project Management for North America, lead line management responsibilities, work with cross functional teams, and manage a portfolio of programs across therapeutic areas.

The Director, Project Management will ensure client satisfaction by acting as the main contact for the Project Management team in all matters regarding ILS. These services include: proactive client care and partnership with key clients; providing direction of the Project Management Teams toward better internal and external customer satisfaction through early intervention, early risk assessments and voice of the customer realization; and finally assuring that the PM group is managing studies in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) Guidances.

Work strategically with the Global Director, Client Services Operations and management in the other client services support departments globally to enhance future planning to grow the Department through global enhancements and standards, such as integration of PM groups and incorporation of harmonized processes in all ILS locations.

As a mentor and coach the Director, Project Management will evaluate performance of direct reports and support direct reports in establishing and accomplishing mutually agreeable goals that contribute to the success of the organization as a whole

To succeed you will need:

BS or BA in a Life Science or related field.

You will possess a minimum of 5 years clinical lab/ clinical trial, project management or related experience and at least 3 years of management experience

Accomplished as an action-oriented self-starter, actively seeking out self-improvement with a view to global thinking and team development, significant leadership and well developed managerial skills with experience in client and internal presentations, and must have a track record of successfully managing large/complex global programs.

You must be available to travel at least 10% domestic and/or international.
