The Role:
This person will be an integral member of the Commercial Finance team at ICON. The role of the Commercial Finance team at ICON is the front-end negotiation and management of commercial terms, at both partnership and transactional levels that maximize downstream financial and operational performance and minimize the associated legal and contractual risks.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Commercial Finance function for ICON's Laboratory Services division
• Provide high quality, timely support to the Proposals team to ensure client proposals are commercially sound
• Work with Commercial Finance colleagues to ensure holistic, client orientated solutions are provided for multi-service opportunities that include Laboratory Services
• Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with the Business Development team and senior leaders in various functional areas
• Liaise with Legal team, and directly with clients as required, on commercial terms in client agreements and multi-year service contracts
• Pro-active and front-loaded holistic analysis (including Legal, Operational, Commercial considerations) for specific deals
• In collaboration with Operational colleagues, ensure integrity and accuracy of standard cost rates for Laboratory tests so as to facilitate informed decision making for new opportunities
• Effective utilization of available financial and operational tools and data to aid better decision making
• Support client-specific rate card analysis and development
• Perform margin assessments for Laboratory services at study level
• Participate in the maintenance of bespoke pricing tools and templates for Laboratory services
• Look for the new creative ideas and help to foster an entrepreneurial culture in the team

Requirements:

*2+ years of experience in finance or pricing-related roles, possibly in a manufacturing company

*CRO and/or Laboratory industry experience, particularly in Finance, Proposals or Contracts capacity, is a strong advantage

*Proven ability to resolve conflicts

*Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to inspire confidence

*Ability to interact with and influence a variety of personnel across the organization

*Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan and manage projects

*Excellent working knowledge of MS office package, in particular Excel.

*Very strong focus on accuracy and quality of information provided; attention to detail

*Very strong focus on delivery of quality outputs in a timely manner to clients (internal and external)
