Investigator Payments Associate  (4-6 Month Contract role)
 
ICON plc, a leading Contract Research Organisation, employing approximately 13,500 employees across 97 offices in 38 countries, seeks an experienced and highly motivated Investigator Payments Associate to join the IPG Department at its Leopardstown Global HQ.  
 
  
The Investigator Payment Group works closely with other ICON departments to facilitate timely and accurate delivery of investigator payments in accordance with the executed contracts and adhering to ICON policies and procedures where ICON is contracted to deliver payment services.
 
The role of Investigator Payment Associate is, as follows:
  • To provide budget entry support
  • To provide efficient and accurate administrative support
  • To support operational projects and sub-projects
 
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to ICON's & IPG's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • As a member of staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes, adding value to our business, and meeting client needs.
  • Travel (approximately 0%) domestic and/or international.
  • *Provide timely, high quality budget data entry support.
  • *Track completion of day-to-day tasks in support of operational deliverables and metrics reporting, as appropriate.
  • *Interact with intra- and inter-department representatives to gather information (i.e., requirements) and documents necessary to effectively complete assigned tasks.
  • *Track payment-related documents (e.g., invoices), managing both electronic and hard copy documents accurately, as instructed.
  • *Provide administrative support (i.e., data entry, scanning, printing, filing) for other operational functions within the department, as directed.
  • *Demonstrate willing involvement in self-training and development. 
  • Liaise with Line Manager and/or Lead in support of department activities, as appropriate
 
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
 
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Prior relevant experience related to data entry in Clinical Research and/or finance-related  field is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and written skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate proactively in support of timely and accurate delivery of tasks.
  • Strong time-management skills with an ability to multitask and deliver on time task completion.
  • Good knowledge and/or proven literacy with MS Office and ability to work effectively with technology.
 
 
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not essential
  • Attention to detail essential
  • Computer literate with experience in Oracle and Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced communication and organisational skills
