Lead Systematic Reviewer – Abingdon/London, UK

Our Health Economics practice has offices in Abingdon and London (UK), New York and Boston (USA). We are respected globally for the quality and innovation of our work, undertaking consultancy projects for international clients in both the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.

ICON Health Economics group is currently seeking a Lead Systematic Reviewer to join our team based in Abingdon/London (atleast 3 days in Abingdon). The team is highly respected in the field of health technology assessment (HTA) for both the quality of our work and methodological innovations. Our research is frequently used to support decision making in HTA agencies, such as the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in the UK.

As the Lead Systematic Reviewer you will be required to provide technical guidance and training to the evidence synthesis team; provide support to the practice lead in the management of the internal structure, financial performance, quality objectives, and contribute to the strategy of that department. You will take part in business development activities and liaising with other departments with in ICO as appropriate. Also contribute to mentoring, supervision and development of the team. Provide project management and act as a point of resolution for projects and resourcing issues.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent as relevant, Master’s degree preferred. Background in biology/ medicine will be desirable.
•  Proven track record of leading and delivering literature reviews and evidence synthesis
•  Consultancy experience preferred and evidence of delivering reviews commissioned by a third party essential
•  Evidence of line managing multidisciplinary teams in project delivery
•  Experience in the training and development of junior reviewers
•  Track record of publications
•  Deep understanding of the role of reviews in reimbursement and commercialisation and how it fits within HE, COA, Epi etc.
