We are currently seeking a Manager, Clinical Operations to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Manager, Clinical Operations at ICON, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Phase 1/early phase CRA team, optimizing resource allocation to achieve operational, quality, and fiscal goals, while fostering strong employee engagement and retention.

Location: Remote - USA

What You Will Be Doing:

• Lead the operational planning, oversight, and execution of clinical trials, ensuring adherence to protocols, timelines, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize trial design, enhance operational efficiency, and support clinical development objectives.
• Monitor trial performance using key metrics, providing insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
• Serve as a key clinical operations contact for country-level operational questions, escalations, and inspection readiness activities.
• Manage staffing, utilization, and productivity targets by assigning resources appropriately and ensuring CTMS and CVs remain accurate and updated.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to CRAs through regular feedback, objective reviews, development planning, and performance of quality assessment visits.
• Support hiring efforts by interviewing, evaluating, and onboarding new team members, and partnering with Talent Acquisition as needed.
• Foster a collaborative team culture grounded in communication, accountability, diversity, and inclusion.
• Contribute to departmental budgeting discussions by understanding revenue and cost drivers and ensuring operational efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maintain clear communication, support issue resolution, and ensure alignment across clinical operations.
• Travel: Approx. up to 20%

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as life sciences, nursing, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience in managing clinical operations/clinical monitoring, with a solid understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.  Preferred experience with Phase 1 studies.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in clinical management tools and methodologies, with a keen focus on optimizing processes.
