The Outsourcing Manager will support the outsourcing and contracting needs of the client. This individual will be responsible for the generation, negotiation and execution of contracts including budget and legal terms. The individual will ensure that the contract terms and budget meet the needs of the business owner. This position may be required to work under tight timelines.
This role will require 1 to 2 days on-site in our King of Prussia office.
What Will you be doing?
- Support outsourcing and contracting needs of global clinical development programs
- Lead the vendor outsourcing, including Request for Proposal and analysis of bid responses, at the clinical study level.
- Generation, negotiation and execution of clinical trial vendor contracts required to meet study timeline deliverables and ICH
GCP compliance requirements - Act as the primary contact with vendors for negotiation of the scope of work, study assumptions and budget
- Ensure that the contract terms and budget meet SOPs, department processes, and financial/legal requirements while working
within the boundaries of the vendor specific master agreements - Has a clear understanding of customer's needs and use this knowledge to advocate for, and drive delivery of, improvements
that provide clear benefits to the customer - Provide financial analyses support for various vendors to meet or exceed the cost reductions within the Procurement
department - Has a thorough understanding of the industry and trends and continually provides solutions based on this experience
- Assist with onboarding of new Team Members
- Well versed in the Lifecycle management of clinical vendors and anticipate impact of any vendor addition or changes
- Provide mitigating risk initiatives to ensure seamless vendor delivery and support
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree is required;
- Minimum of 4 plus years of experience in outsourcing at a CRO or sponsor;
- In lieu of clinical vendor agreements, clinical contracts and budgets negotiations experience may be acceptable.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel.
Communicative Skills:
- Excellent communication skills - able engage with high level staff.
- Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
- Ability to negotiate and obtain commitment and buy-in from customers, suppliers and team members;
- Ability to collaborate and build strong partnership/relationships with all functions involved in the trial;
- Ability to handle multiple priorities within matrix environment;
- Works and meets deadlines while being detailed oriented.
