We are currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join our global legal team (under the direction of Manager, Legal Counsel). You will be responsible for assisting the legal function and providing legal and administrative assistance to all business stakeholders in areas of contract, corporate, employment, IP/IT, data protection, litigation, insurance and compliance. This role will be based in our Dublin HQ.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Ireland’s largest in-house legal teams.

• Assisting the legal function with a wide range of legal matters including commercial, corporate, employment, IP/IT, data protection, litigation, compliance and any other legal matters that arise in the day to day operation of the business.
• Assisting in providing day-to-day legal support to key business stakeholders, in particular to ICON’s Medical Device and Diagnostic Research, Central Laboratory and Late Phase/Consultative Commercialization business units.
• Assisting in the negotiation of commercial contracts, including confidentiality agreements, services agreements, licensing agreements and consultancy agreements.
• Managing specific legal projects to completion, liaising with internal stakeholders around the business for input and support in such projects.
• Managing and prioritizing workload in response to business and client requirements.
• Engaging and liaising with external counsel (managing and minimizing costs to the extent possible) and managing the invoicing process.
• To undertake other reasonably related duties (including administrative tasks) as may be assigned from time to time.

• LLB, LLM or equivalent law degree preferred (third level qualifications in other disciplines will be considered if coupled with suitable and strong paralegal experience).
• proven paralegal experience in a top-tier commercial law firm or in-house legal department (preferably in the CRO/Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry)
• proven experience in commercial contract negotiation with experience in commercial law, litigation and IP/IT preferred.
