ICON Plc has an excellent opportunity for a Paralegal which will involve working on a broad range of domestic and global projects across ICON’s business. You will become part of a highly motivated legal team based in ICON’s global headquarters in Dublin 18.

You will join a professional and experienced legal team focused on making an impact globally and supporting ICON’s mission – to help its clients accelerate the development of drugs and medical devices that save patient lives and improve their quality of life.

The role:

As Paralegal, you will be responsible for supporting the team and providing legal and administrative assistance to all business partners in the areas of contract, corporate, employment, IP/IT, data protection, litigation, insurance and compliance. This role will be based in our Dublin HQ.

Daily responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the legal function with a wide range of legal matters including commercial, corporate, employment, IP/IT, data protection, litigation and compliance.
• Partnering with ICON’s late phase/commercialization, laboratory services and medical device and diagnostic research service lines to provide support on legal matters that arise in the day to day operation of the business.
• You will assist in the review, drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts, including confidentiality agreements, client and vendor services agreements, clinical trial agreements, material transfer agreements, licensing agreements and consultancy agreements.
• Handling Managing a wide variety of projects to completion, liaising with teams around the business for input and support.

To be successful in this position you will need:

• LLB, LLM or equivalent law degree preferred.
• 2-3 years’ paralegal experience within a similar role with a premier top tier law firm or in-house legal environment.
• Experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
• A great teammate with strong influencing and communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• excellent attention to detail with a proven ability to work to tight timelines in a dynamic, highly collaborative, team environment.
