This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast paced, busy environment for a leading global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries.

Overview of the Role

• You will develop and maintain software products which are to be used to address the technical needs of studies. These products will be primarily used by ICON staff to provide higher quality technical solutions in a more timely fashion to facilitate the success of ICON’s Interactive Technology Group.
• You will program bug fixes
• You will program product features and enhancements
• You will write unit tests
• You will perform code reviews
• You will liaise and interact with internal and external clients directly

Role Requirements

• You will possess a University/Bachelor’s Degree in medicine, science or equvalent degree/experience
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of Java experience.
• Must have a  minimum of 2 years of JavaEE / EJB3 experience.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of Weblogic Application Server Administration experience.
• Must have a minimum of Object Relational Modeling (ORM) - 3+ years, Java Persistence API (JPA) - 2+ years, SQL Server with strong SQL skills, Javascript - 2+ years, Goggle Web Toolkit - 2+ years (not required, but definitely a plus).
• Understanding of problem solving and debugging
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to perform technical research and propose viable technical solutions
• Ability to determine and make improvements in current processes and applications
• Ability to work on any of the product features
