Business Intelligence Business Analyst (Dublin or North Wales, PA)

To clarify and agree requirements, recommend solutions to business intelligence needs of the business and support delivery of these solutions. Role to be located in either Dublin or North Wales, Pennsylvania offices.

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Investigate, clarify and agree user requirements for new business intelligence requests.*

· Negotiate and agree scope and timescales with users to achieve best possible match between operational needs and BI system suitability and capability.*

· Develop, evaluate and recommend solutions to meet user needs in the form of logical data model and functional specifications.*

· Work in collaboration with the BI development team (in-house and third party) to ensure development work is completed to specification.*

· Develop reports using the Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) solution.

· Manage user acceptance testing, system testing, implementation and post-implementation support of new/changes to solutions.

· Training of super-users within the business areas on the use of the specific business intelligence solution delivered.

· To undertake other reasonably related duties as may be assigned from time to time

Travel (approximately 5%) domestic and/or international

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Prior relevant experience in delivering business intelligence solutions

· Use of formal, structured methods and data modeling tools in developing business requirements and solutions.

· Experience of Dimensional Modelling principles.

· Demonstrated ability in Data Analysis (inclusive of principles of statistics and data mining)

· Experience of SQL to run basic queries for data analysis and data profiling

· Broad-based knowledge of business intelligence solutions. Experience in Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) would be a distinct advantage.

· Overall understanding of systems architecture & technology development lifecycle.

· Good knowledge of Enterprise Data Model and Master Data management concepts would be advantageous.

· Negotiation, presentation & communications skills.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision combined with very good organizational skills.
