ICON is seeking an experienced pharmacovigilance professional with expertise in managing client relationships and projects along with the know-how of mentoring a team.
The Drug Safety, Manager will lead a team of Drug Safety Associates/Assistants within ICON’s Pharmacovigilance & Safety Services Group which offers safety support across all stages of the product lifecycle by providing efficient drug safety processes, compiling concise drug safety profiles, and developing tailored risk-management strategies.
About the Drug Safety, Manager role within ICON:
The Drug Safety Manager will serve as the main point of contact for the customer for the life-cycle of assigned stand-alone projects and provide management of assigned teams to ensure project and departmental deliverables are being met.
The Drug Safety Manager will ensure the successful completion of projects on-time, within budget limits and with approved quality levels to support achievement of the department's overall financial and quality goals and objectives and ensure that all assigned project and departmental activities are completed in accordance with ICON standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations to Sponsors.
The Drug Safety Manager will provide line management of assigned project staff, including Drug Safety Associates and Administrative Assistants and develop supporting staff skills, encourage growth and provide regular performance feedback.

To succeed you will need:
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 year pharmacovigilance experience, or other equivalent clinical or pharmaceutical experience who possess an RN, Bachelor’s in Nursing, or RPH or PharmD, or equivalent experience as a licensed healthcare professional.
To be successful you will be expected have Excellent understanding of global regulations are related to pharmacovigilance and safety processes, excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) and advanced safety database proficiency, decision-making abilities, communication skills, ability to lead teams and guide/mentor staff, organizational, time management and problem-solving skill and a strong sense of responsibility and dedication.
