ICON, a leading Clinical Research Organization, is seeking passionate, resilient and inspiring professionals to join our Clinical Research team.  The ICON CRA Academy offers a permanent position to highly skilled individuals interested in a career as a Clinical Research Associate. This structured program covers a broad variety of modules and on-the-job training to launch your career as a CRA.


POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Responsible for timely completion of all required iLearn training as part of the Graduate CRA Academy
  • Expected to attend in-house F2F training as part of the Graduate CRA Academy
  • Expected to complete at least 2 observation visits required as part of Graduate CRA training
  • Expected to complete at least 3 In-field training visits required as part of Graduate CRA training
JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As a member of staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our process to add value to our business and meeting client needs.
  • Become familiar with ICON’s SOPs/WPs, ICH GCP guidelines and appropriate regulations
  • Become familiar with ICON systems
  • Successfully pass a written assessment following F2F Training – 2 chances are allowed, if needed to achieve a passing score of > 80%
  • Successfully pass an electronic version of a Mock Monitoring Visit. A passing score of > 80% is required
  • Successfully develop and participate in the creation of and presentation of a manager assigned project/topic to an appropriate audience which may include Sr Directors and/or Sr Managers Clinical Operations, Directors and Managers Clinical Operations – this will include both a group presentation and an individual presentation
  • Group presentation assessment of pass or fail will be determined by each employee’s contribution and understanding of topic
  • Individual presentation assessment of pass or fail will be determined by the employee’s organization, understanding and mastery of subject matter along with the slides/visual aids and responses to questions presented by assessor
  • On-site training is required in the form of at least 2 observation visits and 3 in-field training visits prior to consideration for study assignment and on-site competency evaluation (OCE) visit opportunity
  • Ability and willingness to meet travel requirements (could include driving and flying)
  • Maintains updated ICON (or Sponsor) systems as required
  • Maintains Sponsor and patient confidentiality
  • Other duties as assigned
