Laboratory Assistant

Under general supervision, The Lab Assistant in the PK Lab is responsible for specimen processing and storing, assisting with shipping PK/PD samples and all tasks in support of successful Phase I project execution."

• Please note* this is a full-time position however, incumbent must have flexibility as hours are based on business needs
• Monitoring samples/Troubleshooting discrepancies.
• Consolidating created samples/containers (i.e. slides, blocks, reports, etc.)
• Searching and retrieving documents and samples.
• Performing data entry/Monitoring e-mails and various correspondences.
• Checking that tubes/logs are properly barcoded and labeled.
• Aliquot blood/urine samples, use of centrifuge
• Assist with preparing sample to ship.

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree highly preferred
• 2+ years of experience in a Clinical Laboratory.

• You will have basic working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office along with excellent written/verbal communication skills, the ability to handle large work load demands and trouble shoot issues timely when required; Understanding basic excel spreadsheet, data entry, detailed-work

• Ability to keep accurate, legible records and recognize the need to handle these records and all other information in line with GCP/GLP/GDP.
• Exhibit appropriate time management skills and attention to detail.
