Senior Software Engineer *LI-NM1
 
We are looking for a software engineer with 5 or more years’ experience in a Java environment. We are building applications that will change the way that clinical research is performed, ultimately impacting on patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
 
You have the need to positively impact on people through technology and want to work across the stack with Java, MySQL, Cassandra, and Angular. You will be passionate about architectures which will enable patient, researchers, and trials to connect in more efficient ways in our ever-more-mobile-world.
 
Working with large data sets changing at high velocity in a regulated environment you will seek out new architectures and designs to help us scale using micro services, data analytics, and flexible configurations.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Work with scrum teams, leading technical decisions and driving the future of clinical trials by implementing new features and products
  • Work across the technology stack. Technologies such as Java and Spring form the core of our stack, but you will be comfortable learning new technologies and experience to quickly accelerate your learning.
  • Be comfortable with established and emerging concepts to include micro services, test driven development, event based integration, publish/subscribe, and queue management.
  • Collaborate with product delivery, test and validation to provide best in class software products for our internal and external customers.
 
Experience:
  • 5+ years’ experience in JAVA environment
  • Good knowledge of design patterns
  • Micro Services Architecture
  • TDD and/or BDD
  • Good knowledge of Spring and Hibernate
  • Familiarity with Java annotations and dependency injection
  • Good knowledge of RESTful Architecture
  • Very good knowledge of SQL
  • MongoDB and Cassandra knowledge beneficial
