Senior Business Information Associate (RFI Writer)
Location: U.S/UK/Ireland (Remote)

ICON is currently looking to add a Senior Business Information Associate (RFI Writer) to join our growing team in supporting our Business Development efforts. This position is remote and can be located in either the UK, US or Ireland.
The Role:
As a Senior Business Information Associate, you will benefit from exposure throughout ICONs commercial and operations infrastructure, working with individuals in Project Management, Finance, Marketing, Proposals, Business Development and also the ICON Executive teams. You will be responsible for producing high-quality, sales-focused informational documents in response to internal and external Requests for Information (RFI) that distinguish ICON from its competitors.
Job Functions/Responsibilities:
- Support Business Development in the winning of new business for ICON.
- Deliver high quality client-focused responses to Requests for Information (RFI) for new business and partnership opportunities within given timeframe according to the defined RFI process.
- Manage the preparation, review and submission of RFIs for new business opportunities within given timeframe.
- Provide oversight and input on strategic and preferred provider opportunities, as needed.
- Chair kick-off, and strategy meetings as appropriate ensuring that the appropriate personnel including Senior Management, Operations and Sales are involved as required throughout the RFI generation process.
- Liaise with the appropriate personnel including sales, RFIs and operations throughout the RFI generation to ensure that the RFI and strategy meets the business needs in line with triage priority.
- Solicit input and review of RFIs, from the relevant operational departments including Manager, RFIs and Account Manager.
- Ensure quality, accuracy and consistency of ICON information used for business development and marketing purposes.
- Develop and maintain filing and tracking tools in accordance with accepted practices.
- Consistently meet RFI submission timelines and adhere to Business Development SOPs and Working Procedures.
- Ensure Senior Management are apprised of the status of RFI preparation and elevate any issues or concerns.
- Train and mentor Business Information Associates as appropriate and as designated by the Senior Manager, Business Information.
- Assist with maintenance of content library including obtaining updates from Operations Managers to assure database is current.
- Provide back-up to the Senior Manager, Business Information as required.
- Contribute to the development of processes and tools to improve the accuracy and quality of RFIs and participate in special projects periodically assigned, in addition to day-to-day duties.

- Review junior team member RFI responses to ensure the highest level of quality and accuracy before being sent to the client.

What you will need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Prior experience successfully performing the role of an RFI or Proposal developer (a minimum of 2 years' experience)
- Self-starter and able to function in a high-paced, dynamic environment
- Must be able to work independently, be highly motivated and a strong team player
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to evaluate RFIs and identify critical issues and questions
- Excellent numeracy, communication and organizational skills
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Fluency in English and excellent written English skills are essential
