AI Compliance Manager

As a Responsible AI & Compliance Manager at ICON, you will be responsible for ensuring that all AI products, agents, and services are developed and deployed in line with ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and organisational governance. You will play a critical role in shaping and embedding responsible AI practices across the enterprise, supporting the safe and compliant scaling of AI capabilities.

What You Will Do:

In this role you will lead the development and operationalisation of responsible AI frameworks and compliance processes, working closely with engineering, product, and governance stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain the organisation’s Responsible AI framework, including policies, standards, and ethical guidelines
  • Translate regulatory requirements (e.g. EU AI Act, GDPR) into actionable controls for AI product development and deployment
  • Implement AI risk assessment, bias detection, and model validation frameworks across AI products and services
  • Embed governance checkpoints and compliance controls into development and release lifecycles
  • Lead AI ethics reviews and ensure appropriate risk mitigation strategies are in place prior to deployment
  • Monitor compliance posture, maintain audit-ready documentation, and support internal and external audits
  • Manage AI incident response processes, ensuring issues are identified, investigated, and resolved effectively
  • Act as the primary point of contact for responsible AI and compliance matters, supporting stakeholder engagement and training

Your Profile:

  • Proven experience in AI governance, regulatory compliance, or technology risk management
  • Strong knowledge of AI-related regulations such as the EU AI Act and GDPR
  • Experience implementing responsible AI frameworks, ethical policies, or governance models within technology environments
  • Understanding of AI/ML systems, including model risk, bias, fairness, and validation considerations
  • Experience working within regulated industries such as life sciences, healthcare, or financial services
  • Ability to embed compliance and governance processes into engineering and product workflows
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across technical and business teams
