Clinical Research Pharmacist

As a Clinical Research Pharmacist in Kenya or Ghana, you will be joining the world’s largest & most comprehensive clinical research organisation, powered by healthcare intelligence. You will be a part of ICON Strategic Solutions, embedded to a sponsor.

The role is responsible for the support and management of relationships with pharmacies in global clinical trials up to Phase III with a special focus on clinical trials conducted in the region

What you will be doing:

• Support clinical site pharmacies at site level and provide customer-focused IMP handling
• Direct site support for IMP handling queries
• Review of CTPs from a pharmacist perspective
• Coordinate and develop cross-functional trial-specific Pharmacy / IMP Manuals and Pharmacy / IMP handling Questionnaires, IMP handling training materials
• Supporting the Clinical Research team with site feasibility, site selection, and activation
• Management of quality incidents, IMP handling queries, and risk assessment at investigator trial sites including. cross-functional alignment and appropriate communication
• Provide review and input to GCP trial documents and related activities
• Travel requirement is approximately 15% to site and will be home-based.

You are:

• Well versed with the regional pharmacy landscape and it’s challenges, in order to support the local team.
• 3 years of relevant professional Clinical Research Pharmacist experience in the pharmaceutical industry, CRO or Biotech.
• Qualified Pharmacist
• In-depth understanding of country-specific requirements and standards for Clinical Trials conducted in the region.(Kenya/Ghana)
• Strong experience working with Pharmacy Manuals, Pharmacy Questionnaires and GCP principles
• Business-professional English and local language skills
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and learning skills
• Team Player
• Very strong communication skills, verbal and written.
