The Pricing & Market Access group generates the most valuable recommendations for pricing products to ensure you can understand and implement necessary strategies to bring your products to market effectively. By delivering robust value strategies, designing efficient pricing and market access infrastructures and processes, and providing tailored client training, you will be prepared to act on any value-based pricing activities. The unique strategic approach to P&MA combines experiential assessment with rigorous quantitative analysis and research.

 

The Sr. Principal, Pricing & Market Access is part of the ICON’s Commercialization and Outcomes Division (ICO).  The responsibilities are to recognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which center on our commitment to People, Clients and Performance. As a Manager, the employee is expected to recognize the importance of and create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs. Provide support to the P&MA Senior Management Team in implementing business strategies. Lead project delivery of medium to large sized domestic and international projects. Lead discussions with sensitive market stakeholders. Lead client communications such as project status, client meetings and final presentationsAchieve high client satisfaction and repeat engagements.  Also demonstrate and actively promote an open and honest working environment to encourage close teamwork, foster knowledge transfer, and provide clear direction to all employees.

 

Role Requirements

 

Minimum of 6 years of experience working in a health care consultancy or Pharmaceutical/Biotech commercial strategy experience, ideally in pricing, reimbursement or product valuation

 

Industry experience (pricing, forecasting, more general commercial strategy), managed care or reimbursement policy, consulting or related experience (strategy consulting to healthcare industry, market research) that supplements an advanced degree.

 

Able to generate new or follow up on business with clients with help from senior management.

 

Prior experience managing a team and mentoring junior staff members is required. In order to travel we may require a valid driver’s license and the willingness to travel up to 20% when needed.
