Accounts Assistant / Part Qualified Accountant

ICON is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant, up to Part Qualified Accountant level, on a hybrid working Permanent, basis to join our growing team in the Financial Reporting department, at our Leopardstown HQ in Dublin.

As an Accounts Assistant / PQ Accountant, you will make sure timely and accurate financial information is provided in order for the company to meet its goals and objectives while ensuring statutory requirements are met.

The successful candidate, will report to the departments Finance Manager, where you will partner to ensure timely and accurate financial information is produced in order for ICON to meet established goals and objectives.

The role is ideal for someone coming from a Transactional or Bookkeeping background, who has a strong numerical, reconciliation and problem-solving skillset, and is eager & enthusiastic to get stuck in.

Duties the Accounts Assistant / PQ Accountant will carry out, but won't be limited to are:

• Assisting in the preparation of Monthly Financial Information for one or more entities including Management Accounts.
• Maintaining bank reconciliations and ensuring that reconciling items are cleared in a timely and accurate manner.
• Analysis of intercompany transactions and reconciliation of monthly intercompany balances
• Manage full Trial Balance and maintain Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Ensuring all processes are SOX compliant.
• Collaborating with internal departments to ensure efficient information flows so accounts are accurate.
• Liaising and partnering with and assisting external auditors – at both group and local levels.
• Ensuring entities are aligned with local statutory requirements.
• Assisting Finance Manager and other team members with various exciting projects.

To be considered for the Accounts Assistant / PQ Accountant role you must have/be:

• Studying ATI/CIMA/ACCA.
• The desire to complete your professional accountancy qualifications.
• Advanced Excel knowledge.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Experience utilizing Oracle EBS (beneficial but not essential).
