The Role:
Reporting into the Senior Director of Data & Applied Analytics the Business Partnership Manager - Data & Applied Analytics will be responsible for developing a strong relationship with the leaders they work with, identifying, analysing and presenting operational metrics to provide performance oversight and identify risks across the organization. The Business Partner / Manager will compose outputs in a highly consumable state, with clear messaging, and ensure that the same standard is reached from analysts they work with.
The Business Partnership Manager - Data & Applied Analytics will also be expected to manage requests for information, assign appropriate task to analysts, analyse and interpret outputs and present information to ICON’s senior leadership.

- Communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the business (internally and externally).
- Demonstrate passion for solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches to generate insights from data.
- Possesses advanced analytical skills and understanding of data and its sources, to be able to objectively interpret the data for what it is saying.
- Delivers all metrics & analysis in accordance with established timelines and/or contractual requirements.
- Ability to distil large and complex data sets into business insight.
- Work directly with analysts to ensure output is being produced and delivered to a high standard from a quality and content perspective. The manager will be expected to provide guidance to the analysts they are working with and ensure end deliverables are meeting the customer’s expectations.
- Validates the quality of the data before engaging in analysis. Quality check of own work and that of the analysts.
- Creates dashboards and metrics for presentation to multiple levels in the business.
- Acts as a Study and Partnership Metrics SME representing ICON at internal and external meetings.
- Manage requests for information coming in from all areas of the business. The manager will be expected to review and assess the requests and provide feedback directly back to the customer in relation to suitability of the metrics requested, quality of the supporting data, scope of work, etc. Where appropriate the manager will be expected to offer better/alternative solutions.
- Manage a challenging workload in a pressurized environment. Prioritizing deliverables appropriately.
To be successful in the role, you will ideally have:
- Experience in business data analysis, Pharma/CRO industry experience preferred.
- Strong excel skills a must.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify and explain complex problems to stakeholders of all levels across multiple functions.
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
