This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast paced, busy environment for a leading global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. As a Contract Analyst you will join a global team of smart and energetic individuals tasked with coordinating, developing and negotiating contracts and contract amendments for newly awarded and on-going projects in ICON. 
 
As a Contract Analyst I your key responsibilities will include: 
  • Recognising, exemplifying and adhering to ICON's values which centre on our commitment to People, Clients and Performance.
  • Developing a good working knowledge of ICON’s costing tools, client budget grids, and any tools and templates developed within the Client Contract Services group.
  • Soliciting input and review of contracts and change orders from the relevant operational departments.
  • Critically assessing information, documentation and strategy.
  • Working with ICON project teams, sales, proposals, finance and ICON management.
  • Building strong client relationships and understanding their respective contractual and work practices and guiding the ICON project managers, project teams, finance, vendors etc. to follow such practices.
  • Leading  discussion and negotiation with clients
  • Providing project/financial analysis on the project budget to justify supporting information from the project team.
  • Independently manage and prioritise workload in relation to timelines and client submissions with consistent accuracy and speed.
  • Embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
 
As a Contract Analyst your skills and experience will include: 
  • Prior relevant clinical research industry experience is desirable as is prior relevant experience in proposal development or contract management. A science or similar qualification is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly motivated and be a strong team player working well in a strong team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and function in a high paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow directions (often complex) well.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and/or to tight timelines.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), organisation skills and numeric reasoning.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office package.
