1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
• To be responsible for configuration, end-user training, developing and enhancing
workflow and systems processes and providing functional support of PeopleSoft
and related HR Systems at ICON. A major emphasis would be in supporting
ICON's PeopleSoft HRMS, Benefits (Base Benefits and Benefits Administration),
and Payroll Interface modules in coordination with other global team members.


2. JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Recognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which center around our
commitment to People, Clients and Performance
• *Maintain and configure all functional aspects of PeopleSoft. This includes the
setup and maintenance of foundation tables like Locations, Departments, Job
Codes, Companies, Business Units, Establishments as well as the PeopleSoft
Security configuration and the department tree
• *Plan and deploy core functionality and enhancements to the global user community
• *Ensure that HR Users maintain PeopleSoft data accurately and with integrity. This
can be accomplished by running periodic audit reports and by troubleshooting data
integrity issues. Additionally, this position requires coordination with HR. IT and
other groups to resolve any issues.
• *Setup and maintain functional configuration for PeopleSoft to assist end users
during periodic events (e.g. open enrollment, year-end processes, leave accruals,
payroll cycles, appraisals, salary increases, salary bonuses etc.)
• *Track PeopleSoft related change requests/issues and liaise with end users (HR
Coordinators, HR Managers), Senior Management, IT Personnel and other groups
to resolve problems. This includes regular maintenance of an issues log and
periodic status reporting
• *Distribution of reports and queries as requested and assigned
• Distribution of interfaces to external as well as internal systems where necessary
• Development of training manuals and delivery of end users training to HR users
• *Maintain PeopleSoft related end user documentation, Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs), and Working Procedures (WPs) as well as train end users
when necessary
• *Periodic Status Reporting

• Facilitate strategic plans to assess, produce and implement initiatives for HRIS
Upgrades and enhancements to existing functionality
• 'Ability and willingness to travel 10%
• Other duties as assigned

3. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the
knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be

• Bachelor's Degree in a field related to HRIS or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in functional support of HR Systems out of
which 5 years should be in PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft experience should include at a
minimum 3 years in production support. Must have specific functional knowledge of
the HR, Benefits and Payroll Modules in PeopleSoft.
• Must have complete knowledge of the functional configuration of PeopleSoft with
emphasis on the functionality currently in use at ICON.
• Must know the interaction of the various foundation tables, including but not limited
to departments, locations, companies, establishments, job codes, and positions.
• Excellent problem solving and analysis skills required
