Functions and Responsibilities
• Receive samples from accessioning. Segregate and distribute samples to the lab. 45%
• Assists with set up and management of samples for analysis. 10%
• Monitor and print pending lists. 5%
• Retrieve samples for add on testing. 5%
• Locate misplaced samples. 5%
• Retrieve/return samples from long-term storage for testing per lab request. 5%
• Collate and transfer samples for long term storage. 5%
• Specimen storage, rotation and disposal. 5%
• Distribute all samples. 5%
• Assists with maintaining quality control.4%
• Inventory logs.4%
• Performs other relevant tasks as requested. 1%
• Participates in required Continuous Professional Education Programs, including conferences, internal journal club and lectures, as required. 1%
• Travel - domestic or international – 0%
