In this position, you will be fulfilling an integral role to support Oncacare's growth and success by encouraging patients to participate into clinical research studies. Reporting to the Patient Recruitment Manager you will conduct phone screens, review patient's basic medical information to determine eligibility, discuss research opportunities, maintain the patient database and report recruitment outcomes.
Main Responsibilities
Promoting the mission of Oncacare to bring clinical research to as many lives as possible while delivering unparalleled service and exceptional value to our clinical trial partners and stakeholders
Actively strive to meet and exceed annual goals
Increasing the volume of patients randomizing from EMR/healthcare institution partner practices, as well as third party patient referrals
Delivering excellent customer service to all stakeholders at all times
Identify barriers to recruitment as well as solutions to those barriers
Read, write and speak fluent English; fluent in host country language required
Particular attention will be given to assessing the effectiveness of each site's strategy used to identify potentially eligible patients. The PRO must also understand how the trial fits into the site's pattern of treatment for the condition and how any competing clinical trials may affect the progress of recruitment
Repeated interactions will be needed over the course of the trial to ensure that the trial remains "top of mind" with investigators and staff
Manage the implementation of small to medium sized local/site specific patient recruitment campaigns
Maintain communication and relationships between all the relevant internal and external parities to ensure all intelligence is utilised in order to make best recruitment planning decisions
Deliver high quality standards and strive for excellence.
To be successful you will need:
Excellent communication - written and verbal skills
Experience in marketing or sales position will be considered an asset
Ability to creatively think for out of the box ideas on marketing and research promotion
Ability to speak multiple languages considered an asset
Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner
Pro-active, flexible and able to multi-task
Good organizational skills with attention to detail
Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Self-motivated
IT literate
Must have competent computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
A basic understanding of medical terminology would be helpful but not essential
Able to travel at short notice - around UK and to Europe.
