The Role:
- Support Business Development in the winning of new business for Mapi Research Trust and related ICON services.
- Clarify clients’ needs and educate clients on new and existing company products and services.
- Coordinate and prepare client-focused proposals, budgets and client grids for new business opportunities and ensure all requested information is provided in the final proposal within given timeframe.
- Adhere to the proposal process.
- Chair kick-off and resource meetings and coordinate the participation of appropriate personnel in the proposal development process.
- Set-up and/or attend clinical strategy meetings for key/ enhanced opportunities.
- Liaise with the appropriate personnel including business development, legal, finance and operations throughout the proposal generation to ensure that the proposal and strategy meets the business needs in line with triage priority.
- Prepare costs for proposals by interacting with operational departments to coordinate costs and assumptions.
- Submit final proposal, on time, to Project Manager or designee.
- Coordinate and prepare budgets and specifications for contracts for new business awards (where appropriate).
- Coordinate and participate in negotiations and discussions with clients as required.
- Attend bid defense and other client meetings in a support role when required.
- Clarify contract specifications with the Manager, Project Manager and/or Account Manager (where appropriate).
- Solicit input and review of proposals, budgets and contracts (where appropriate) from the relevant operational departments.
- Develop and maintain filing and tracking tools in accordance with accepted practices.
- Assist with continuous departmental process improvements and participate in special projects periodically assigned, in addition to day-to-day duties.
- Performs other duties and tasks as are allocated at the reasonable discretion of the Company, such as system support and maintaining shared knowledge resources.

- Ability and willingness to travel at least 5% of the time (international and domestic: fly and drive)
To be successful in the role:
- Excellent customer service skills, including ability to communicate clearly with clients and resolve customer issues or complaints.
- Process-driven, a strong communicator, a problem solver, and an analytical thinker.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in science or business, or relevant career experience.
- Able to work effectively within a deadline driven environment and are self-motivated with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.
- Experienced within a pharma or CRO environment would be an advantageous but is not essential.
- 3+ years of experience in client services and/or project coordination.
- Previous experience working remotely, preferred.
- Fluency in English and Chinese both orally and in writing, with excellent communication skills, experience working on international teams .

In collaboration with ICON, Mapi Research Trust is a non-profit, full-service provider, promoting the use of Clinical Outcomes Assessments (COAs) in studies, and encouraging exchanges of Patient-Centered Outcomes (PCO) and Clinical Outcome assessments information among academics, pharmaceutical companies, and health researchers. Since the mid-90′s we have been collecting and processing PCO information to provide reliable, comprehensive and up-to-date information services.
We offer free and subsidized access to Clinical Outcome Assessments information, licensing and their derivatives for thousands of independent and academic research programs in over 130 countries every year, and we maintain the world’s largest library devoted exclusively to COAs. Through our PROQOLID & PROLABELS databases, we create vital links among those at every level of Patient-Centered Outcomes studies.
The Trust was founded with the mission of centralizing and quickly disseminating reliable, exhaustive questionnaire information to the scientific community.
Mapi Research Trust is the largest single COA licensing provider and the most trusted name in distribution of COA instruments exclusively representing over 600 COAs.
