The Role:
As Finance Systems Manager you will be responsible for the Governance, Development, Implementation and Support of a module of the Oracle Financial Systems including our Oracle ERP system.
• Strategic partner to your Finance manager equivalent and driving the Finance Systems strategy in partnership with Finance.
• Optimizing usage and driving increased value on ICONs investment in Oracle Financials.
• Co-ordinates technology schedules, plans, timelines and resource assignments, managing the day to day activities of the Finance Systems team. This will include a mixture of support and project related work.
• Responsible for planning and deploying new system implementations and/or upgrades to our Oracle Financials system.
• Provide Oracle Financials Functional expertise and hands on assistance as required during critical situations when issues arise.
• Co-ordinate and collaborate with other functional areas to ensure Finance Systems is reliable and scalable.
• Manage and direct third party vendors on support activities. Drive accountability, engagement and service improvements.
• Researches and recommends new finance systems and strategies to senior management.
• Defines, implements, and monitors/improves change management processes, standard tools, methodologies and metrics.
• Ensure robust audit procedures and documentation.
To be successful in the role, you will ideally have:
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Computing, or equivalent work experience required.
• Qualified Accountant preferred but not essential.
• Significant experience in a similar role preferably in medium-to-large scale global organisation.
• Shared Service and Finance Transformation experience a distinct advantage.
• Considerable expertise in finance processes including (e.g. P2P, O2C, R2R, Revenue Recognition and Project Accounting).
• Expertise in ERP Financials and in particular ORACLE eBusiness Suite.
• Proven track record in systems architecture design, systems development methodologies and systems integration technologies.
• Experience in working with off shore development partners to deliver IT solutions to the required standards and timelines.
• Proven ability to successfully deliver medium-large scale programs of change on time and within budget.
• Possess customer focused background and display commercial awareness.
• Ability to embrace new and innovative technologies/applications for the benefit of the Finance Group
• Ability to present strategies and change initiatives (to technical or non-technical audiences) to secure approval and funding.
• Possess strong interpersonal, relationship management, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Ability to motivate and coach a team to take positive action and be accountable for their assigned work.
