As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have substantial influence on our products’ technology, design, and implementation. In addition, you should have a strong passion for software technology, an eagerness to contribute to product development, and a desire for excellence.
Responsibilities
Support our iterative product development on our Medical Publishing suite of software
Contribute to code development, code reviews, testing, quality assurance, process improvement, and project leadership
Assist in identifying and developing process improvements, best practices, and new processes and procedures.
Collaborate with team to brainstorm and share your ideas for creating new functionality.
Share your knowledge and expertise, and guide and mentor junior developers
Be a persistent, creative problem solver, and be able to determine root causes for complex issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related area.
5+ years of extensive progressive software development experience with
Microsoft .NET / C#, MVC, SQL Server, and Visual Studio required.
Strong SQL experience (database design, advanced query writing, creating stored procedures and views, etc.).
Strong knowledge of scripting languages – AJAX, and JSON.
Understanding of presentation layer technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery.
Familiarity with SaaS.
Experience with professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
Experience using Tortoise SVN.
Experience using Microsoft’s Azure DevOps (formerly known as TFS and VSTS).
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as good interpersonal skills.
Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies.
Real passion for innovation! Any experience with RPA, UiPath Studio, API development, automated testing, and/or Power BI would be a plus.
