We are looking for a Divisional Principal, Pricing and Market Access to join our team rated by Forbes as one of Americas Best Employers three years in a row.
You would be responsible for driving the development and execution of the P&MA Service Line business strategy as an industry-recognized KOL and senior leader.
What you will be doing:
- Actively drives the expansion of department-wide knowledge on Service Line-related research methods, related news, trends and best practices
- Continually cultivates, develops and maintains positive business relationships with other functional teams and departments within ICON
- You will lead the business in multiple defined key focus areas, methodologies and/or scientific fields on a global scale driving strategic partnership across ICON’s business units to provide clients with holistic solutions to complex and multi-functional scientific and operational challenges
- Acts as scientific thought partner with the client and the project team across multi-project programs.
- Drive forward scientific innovation based on current industry trends, research publications and regulatory directives.
- Focuses on strategic partnerships; expands existing relationships into multi-service relationships
- Actively pursues new client relationship opportunities and leads the organization to meet changing client needs; responsible for teams’ alignment and support of BD efforts
- Coaches staff and leads the development of project plans and scientific content in proposals and achieves good conversion rate of submitted and won proposals
- Maintain distinguished thought leadership presence in the industry through regular publications and presentations.
- Serves as scientific KOL to other principal investigators or staff on other projects
- Acts in a strategic advisory capacity, to effectively lead and mitigate complex risk issues across multiple projects, service lines, and functions.
- Examines and defines factors that could adversely affect department’s project execution, or the potential to win future projects. e.g. resource constraints, industry trends, customer satisfaction, etc.
- Develops strategies to overcome and mitigate risk
- You would lead a functional area of the business including departmental P&L ownership, resourcing decision-making, operational infrastructure to support growth, etc.
- Resolves complex team issues by achieving common purpose. Facilitates the discussion and champions the resolution of conflicts or disagreement across the organization. Ensures that communication across the team is highly effective, including across offices
- Instigate and lead departmental improvement initiatives
- Responsible for divisional or departmental operational strategy development and execution ensuring successful achievement of revenue/ sales targets and gross margins.
- Aligns with all relevant SOPs, work programming, time-keeping, iLearns, policies and procedures
- You will need to lead and motivate your staff in the projects where assigned as regulatory project lead
- Lead staff development and training, including mentoring staff
- Performs other duties and tasks as are allocated at the reasonable discretion of the Company
- Travel (approximately 40%) domestic and/or international.
What your background should look like:
- Global leadership experience within the areas of Pricing and Market Access, Reimbursement and Payer Contracting
- Experience developing supporting staff skills, inspiring growth and providing regular performance feedback.
- Experience leading and coaching staff and set clear goals and objectives
- Consultancy experience within pharmaceutical industry
- Master's Level Degree; Doctorate Degree or equivalent experience (more than 15 years direct relatable experience)
