Account Leader, Pricing Market Access and Reimbursement
Preference for office based role in Yardley, PA or San Francisco
Alternatively flexible homebased role across USA
The Pricing, Market Access & Reimbursement (PMAR) group at ICON plc is a multidisciplinary team of experts that focuses exclusively on market access and reimbursement in the US market. This group understands the evolving trends in the healthcare landscape as well as the evidentiary, regulatory, and reimbursement requirements of key stakeholders. ICON PMAR combines insights, strategic expertise, compelling creative, and unique platforms to deliver tailored solutions that meet clients' access goals.
We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Account Leader to join our team. This role will own the logistics and administration of project delivery. This includes autonomously managing project financials and scopes to meet business and client standards and providing visibility for client facing staff and day-to-day project management team on delivery execution.
Job Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provides expertise and consultation to project teams and clients as needed in order to influence development strategies
- Main point of contact for client requests
- Manages existing relationship or newly acquired relationship with new client(s)
- Participates in business development activities including RFP responses, pitches and pricing
- Develops all standard SOWs using pricing tools and ICON templates aligned to hours, margin and contract guidance provided in SOPS
- Maintains financial entries and accuracy in tracker in internal tools to ensure financials are kept up to date for ICON and client purposes (monthly and weekly)
- Ensures clients are billed accurately and in a timely manner according to SOW
- Recognize out of scope activities and proactively communicate with client to ensure client approves budgetary and timeline implications
- Sends all key deliverables to client
- Provides oversight and back-up support for daily project management responsibilities
- Provide ongoing client service, including the handling of client inquiries to build and enhance the client relationship
- Other duties as required
Qualified candidates will have:
- 5+ years of project / account management experience in a publication planning or healthcare communications agency
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
- A well-organized, detail-oriented, performance-driven approach with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills - written, oral (including telephone)
- Intermediate knowledge of Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Planview, Veeva, routing systems or similar project management and med/legal software a plus
- General knowledge of agency workflows and management of payer or healthcare professional marketing materials a plus
