Analyst, Clinical Research Systems & Reporting

The Role:
• Provide system administration and support for ICON CTMS and other assigned applications
• Provide support for application development and COTS projects
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for ICON CTMS and other assigned applications and have a good working knowledge of other ICON applications and their impact on assigned applications
• Provide support and training/mentoring to junior members of the group
Responsibilities

• Travel (approximately 10%) domestic and/or international
• Interface with system users to identify requests and provide timely, high quality support
• Lead smaller quick win efforts and participate in projects that improve efficiency within the organization
• Interface with IT to evaluate, resolve and communicate system-related issues impacting users and escalate to management as applicable
• Escalate application issues with a perceived high user impact to management
• Capture user feedback on system applications and/or associated operational processes and provide input to management
• Proactively review system data and identify training needs or system issues
• Take part in and, where necessary, coordinate the development and review of application training material
• Participate in system testing by execution of test scripts
• Proactively engage system users in discussion of system issues and provide training, or facilitate the development of training materials, under the direction of management.
• Demonstrate increased understanding of the business’ needs and priorities by working in conjunction with the application owner in troubleshooting issues, scheduling system changes, and coordinating between IT and the business to provide input related to requests for new system features/functionality
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency with assigned applications by troubleshooting more complicated issues and assisting in application development activities
• Actively participate in training and/or mentoring junior personnel on standard day-to-day activities
• Provide management with feedback on efficiency of processes and suggestions for improvement in the effectiveness of the group
• Initiate, plan and lead projects toward delivery of project tasks, including but not limited to representing the team on cross-department and/or client meetings and initiatives
• Work to resolve escalated application issues by interfacing with IT and the business and/or application vendor if needed
• Work to evaluate user feedback on system applications and/or associated operational processes and encorporate in application development plans
• Work toward leading application development/implementation processes in conjunction with business, management and IT
• Prepare communication to business units to announce system or process changes
• Other duties as assigned
