Application Support Specialist
 
 
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast paced, busy environment for a leading global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries.
Our Application Support Specialist will be responsible for providing support to both internal and external users of Imaging Management Information (IMI) applications and systems, and shall configure and maintain software systems in the production environment as used in the central review sessions. 
 
Overview of the Role
  • Installation, configuration and support of software systems as used in central review sessions
  • Citrix account administration and application configuration
  • To provide applications training, documentation and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in computerized systems in clinical trials and system development lifecycle
  • Establishes good relationships internally and externally
  • Operate independently with a willingness to make decisions; Project credibility and makes a professional and positive impression on others; Monitor progress and holds self and others accountable.
  • Delivers high quality standards and strives for excellence; Acts in a proactive, flexible and responsive manner to customer needs.
  • To undertake other reasonably related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
  • GCP and SOP compliance
  • Travel (approximately 8%) domestic and/or international 
Role Requirements / Skills / Experience Required
  • Must possess High School diploma or local equivalent
  • Off-Hours support (on-call rotational schedule)
  • Proficient with Windows XP,Vista, 7 operating system and MAC OS Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion and Mountain Lion.
  • Proficient with MS Office 2007 & 2010 business applications
  • Organizational skills:  Ability to multi-task, thorough documentation, prioritization and follow through.
  • Communication skills:  Ability to communicate with all levels, good listening skills, explanation of technical terms to users in layman’s terms, patience and excellent customer service.
  • Documentation skills:  Minimum of 1 year experience in creating standard documentation for Internal and External Knowledgebase.
