Contract Associate, Dublin

6 month fixed term contract

　
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast paced, busy environment for a leading global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. As a Contract Associate you will join a global team of smart and energetic individuals tasked with coordinating, developing and negotiating contracts and contract amendments for newly awarded and on-going projects in ICON. As ICON is one of a small group of organisations with the capability and expertise to conduct clinical trials and development projects on either a local or global basis, our Contracts team are involved in a diverse array of contracting opportunities. This is a perfect entry level opportunity for a recent graduate with a related Clinical Research or Life Sciences degree.

　As a Contract Associate your key responsibilities will include:　

Recognising, exemplifying and adhering to ICON's values which centre on our commitment to People, Clients and Performance.
Developing a good working knowledge of ICON’s costing tools, client budget grids, and any tools and templates developed within the Client Contract Services group.
Soliciting input and review of contracts and change orders from the relevant operational departments.
Critically assessing information, documentation and strategy.
Building relationships with ICON project teams, sales, proposals, finance, senior management and project analysis teams.
Building relationships with clients and other ICON business units.
Interacting with ICON Legal, the Sales Team, and your respective Contracts Manager, as necessary, to determine the appropriate terms and conditions to be included in the contracts and change orders.

As a Contract Associate your skills and experience will include:　

Prior relevant clinical research industry experience is an advantage but not essential as is prior relevant experience in proposal development or contract management. A science or similar qualification is an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Demonstrated ability to be highly motivated and be a strong team player working well in a strong team environment.
Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and function in a high paced, dynamic environment.
Demonstrated ability to follow directions (often complex) well.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and/or to tight timelines.
Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills.
Excellent communication (oral and written), organisation skills and numeric reasoning.
Excellent working knowledge of MS Office package.
