The role:  Laboratory Supervisor- San Antonio, TX on site


The Supervisor is accountable for leading and managing a team of scientists and/or lab technicians to support testing services that achieve quality standard and timeline requirements.

 As a Supervisor, the employee is expected to recognize the importance of and create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
 Manages projects and workload assignments and timely completion by group.
 Plan and coordinate the daily operational activities for employees.
 Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day activities of the analytical laboratory including responsibility for reagent and buffer preparations, tracking of reagents and general inventory
 Sets goals, assigns and coordinates tasks, ranks priorities, monitors performance, and evaluates performance.
 Identifies the key elements of a situation and any gaps and inconsistencies in data. Makes rational judgments from available information and analysis.
 Applies a variety of scientific principles and concepts to complete deliverables.
 Responsible for quality and compliance with applicable regulations.
 Plans and maintains sufficient resources to accomplish group tasks.
 Evaluate, coach and motivate staff.
 Promote and participate in professional development of scientists and laboratory facilities.
 Set clear goals and objectives with staff.
 Takes ownership to lead and develop that team
 Good understanding and experience of analytical procedures and general laboratory experience.

You will need:
 Bachelors in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science along with 3-5 years of laboratory  experience.

Must have minimum of 3 years of experience as a Supervisor.

Must have ASCP Certification.
Experience with GLP or other quality systems.
Excellent written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and exhibit appropriate time management skills.
