PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To develop, facilitate and deliver training to ICON employees.

 
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

§  Coordinate and conduct instructor-led (ILT) in-house and in-field training, liaising with CTD training coordinators and other ICON departments/ management.
  • Develop and update ILT training materials, working with other ICON departments and CTD staff to effectively identify learning objectives and develop and deliver training content and practical activities as approved. 
  • Assist other departments with developing and implementing on-the-job training (OJT) and ensuring appropriate documentation of completed OJT training.
  • Develop online (OLL) training materials, working with other ICON departments and the CTD e-Learning group during the development and finalization phases.
  • Provide constructive and effective feedback to trainees regarding skill capabilities during training.
  • Provide support for external and internal audits and/or client requests for training documentation on study staff including preparation of employee reports (training history; registrations, learning plan when requested) and provision of scanned or actual paper files, when necessary.  This may include assisting in procuring updated CVs from departments responsible for maintaining CVs, when necessary.
  • Maintain regular contact with CTD team, customers and suppliers to ensure information is effectively communicated.
  • Inform Manager/senior CTD management of department and training issues, project status including activities and timelines, etc.
    • Manage ILT events in iLearn which may include:
    • Scheduling ILT events in iLearn
    • Managing ILT event registration/registered students
    • Updating roster reports for attendee training event status
    • Entering completion status into iLearn for ILT events
  • Review training records for ICON employees to evaluate training compliance and to follow up with ICON management as necessary.
  • Liaise with project team managers for ICON study teams regarding CTD activities in study team training or client-specific, as necessary.
  • Identify and assess training needs for individual ICON employees under the direction of CTD Manager and in conjunction with employee’s Manager.
  • Provide client-specific training required by client, as assigned.
  • Assist with new hire orientation activities, as necessary.
  • Complete departmental projects as assigned in accordance with instructions and specified timelines.
  • Provide input to monthly department status reports.
  • Perform additional activities and responsibilities related to the job role and support of CTD activities as assigned.
  • Liaise with external vendors with regard to contracted training services, as necessary.
  • Conduct CTD quality control reviews as assigned.
