Symphony Health is looking to place talented students in an exciting and fast paced summer internship program!
With this internship, students will have the opportunity to gain invaluable exposure to predictive modeling projects, hands on experience coding and working SQL and SAS, and mentoring at a healthcare industry leader in data analytics and technology solutions.
What will you be doing?
The Intern will support our Custom & Advanced Analytics team, including Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and Consultants at the intersection of business and technology. Utilizing your experience working with patient claims data, as well as your ability to write SQL queries, you will help our team analyze and produce reliable insights for our clients, including pharmaceutical companies, managed care organizations, and providers
Some additional responsibilities may include:
• Compile and analyze data and prepares reports.
• Provide administrative assistance in support of special projects.
• May create and develop presentations.
What do you need to have?
- 0 – 2 Years of related experience
- Bachelors Degree required, but strongly prefer current enrollment in graduate studies, preferably in Business, Business Analytics, Statistics or related area
- Experience writing SQL queries required
- Experience in in SAS preferred
- Experience/ exposure to working with healthcare data or healthcare claims data
- Well versed in statistical analysis and predictive modeling
- Experience or deep interest in healthcare
- Experience with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Good organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Read, write and speak English fluently
- Availability to work full time
Start Date: June 12, 2023
Duration: 10 weeks in length
Pay Rate: $19/hour
Location: Office-Based - Blue Bell, PA
