ESG and Sustainability Programme Manager
Location: Ireland, Dublin

The Role:
Following the recent announcement of ICON's acquisition of PRA Health Services, we have created an exciting new role.
We are seeking an ESG and Sustainability Programme Manager to join our expanding team.
The successful candidate will be our ESG subject matter expert, with a focus on coordinating and implementing ICON's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) & Sustainability strategy under the direction of the Director of Corporate Governance and Deputy Company Secretary.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong appreciation and interest in ESG & Sustainability issues.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the ESG programme - implementing ESG strategies and plans, coordinating ICONs ESG disclosure approach.
Collaborating with our existing ESG Committee, and a variety of internal teams to manage initiatives and provide disclosures across core reporting channels.
Preparing ESG related materials including ESG reports in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
Managing the EcoVadis corporate account annually to keep our EcoVadis score up to date. This includes coordinating the internal stakeholder review, managing the completion of the questionnaire annually and coordinating initiatives for continuous ratings improvements.
Liaising with and responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders on ESG matters.
Supporting in the coordination of ESG related projects and initiatives by the wider teams across the business to promote the ESG agenda.
Monitoring performance against ESG objectives and targets, regularly communicating progress to stakeholders.
Managing and advising on the implementation of current and emerging external ESG disclosure frameworks.
Supporting ESG rating agency engagement and embed feedback into external disclosure strategy to meet emerging requirements and manage ICON submissions to key ESG Ratings agencies.
Actively monitor corporate governance and ESG related legislative and regulatory developments, keeping our policies up to date.
Supporting ESG gap analysis to ensure key ESG related policies and procedures and reporting mechanisms are in place.
Manage corporate governance matters including preparing powers of attorney, arranging execution, notarization and apostille etc. of minutes, powers of attorney and liaising with Department of Foreign Affairs and Embassies.
What you will need:
Previous ESG and sustainability experience preferable but not required. Having a strong appreciation of and a genuine interest in ESG/ sustainability issues is more important.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives
Strong reporting skills with the ability to dissect, analyse and translate data into recommendations alongside the capacity to efficiently drive changes.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across business functions.
Good business and risk awareness skills and the ability to act/think strategically, logically and commercially.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly assess potential for risk and opportunity.
