Financial Analyst II-
The Role:
1. Project Finance Support: Provide support to the Sr. Director, Clinical Operations and ProjectManagers in matters related to the following:
· Provide financial analysis and reporting of programs and initiatives.
Provide independent, objective project tracking review and financial analysis to maintain and/or improve project profitability.
· Work with the Project Team to collect bottom-up financial forecasts and update estimate to complete schedules.
· Prepare and manage project specific deliverables related to financial or contractual requirements. Create ad-hoc reports for the Project Team based on needs and upcoming deadlines.
· Participate in project management meetings to gain insight of ongoing events that can impact results of existing or future performance periods.
· Communicate with subcontractors and consultants monthly to gather intel for both forecasting and accruals.
2. Accounting Support: Provide support to the Accounting Team for monthly activities related to the following:
· Work with Billing Manager in the preparation of customer invoices, supporting documentation and Accounts Receivable aging activity.
· Assist in monthly close activities including accruals, reconciliations, and revenue recognition.
· Provide monthly variance explanations to forecast, related to revenue, cost, and profitability.
· Assist with annual budget preparations and incurred cost submissions (ICE) that align to contractual requirements.
· Interact and provide necessary information to Accounting related to any activities required to supplement revenue recognition, forecasting, invoicing, etc.
3. Business Development Support: Provide support to Business Development and Proposal
Team as needed, related to the following:
· Support the company’s new business proposal efforts by reviewing cost estimates.
· Assist in preparing pricing schedules to support change in scope amendments.
4. Maintains a safe workplace ensuring that he/she is aware of and observes appropriate safety and occupational health rules and regulations. Employee is required to attend safety training relative to his/her position and report any infractions of safety procedures to the facility Safety Officer.
5. Performs light duties and other related duties as required and assigned.
What you need:
1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance or BusinessManagement.
2. 2+ years prior experience in professional level position providing project financial analysis and reporting to external and internal business stakeholders.
3. Prior experience in the management/accounting of Government contracts preferred.
4. Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Excel (pivot tables, lookups, SUMIFs, etc.).
5. Experience in utilizing software for data extraction and manipulation.
6. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills.
7. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
8. Prior experience using Microsoft Dynamics SL and/or UNANET a plus.
9. Must be able to work independently following a brief period of specific technical training.
