Human Resources Manager – Employee Relations Specialist, Dublin

12-month fixed term contract

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast paced, busy environment for a global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. This role will lead and manage the governance, communication, design and implementation of industry leading performance and reward frameworks and programmes in the context of our strategic HR and business performance goals.

Overview of the Role

The HR Manager – Employee Relations is responsible for influencing and effecting a positive employee relations environment delivered through ICON’s people managers Ireland and the United Kingdom.  The role is very hands on and takes responsibility for all performance management, absenteeism, grievance and disciplinary issues.  This involves building and enabling people management capability, delivery of HR consultation service to all people managers through timely and consistent guidance and coaching on employee relation activities, professional handling of legal issues/cases in line with local employment legislation and maintaining the pulse and improving on employee satisfaction. 

Role Requirements

·         In-depth experience working as a Senior HR consultant or manager, delivering complex employee relations case management to their conclusion in fast-paced, diverse business.

·         Thorough working knowledge of employment law in UK and Ireland.

·          Consulting and employee relations case management skills and knowledge.

·          Ability to deliver training / management education sessions to line managers.

  • Sound working knowledge of HR practices in general.

·         Highly developed planning and organizational skills. Must be able to resolve conflicting priorities to meet tight deadlines.

 

·         Be an accomplished negotiator with the ability to influence and present to small and medium groups. 

 

·         Due to the nature of this position, there may be a requirement to travel. Therefore, dependent on the employee’s location, the employee maybe required to possess a valid Driver’s license and/or passport.
