The Role:

The purpose of this position is to assume overall responsibility for coordination of import/export operations with respect to all types of products in accordance with SOPs, Work Instructions, corporate policies and official regulatory requirements. 

The holder of this position is expected to notify functional manager about issues (related to import / export coordination and customs clearance of shipments) and participate in development of problem-resolving action plans. 

The holder of this position can be responsible for coordination of import / export activities in several countries.

As an Import- Export Specialist you will:

 

  • Assure activities are appropriately fulfilled in a timely manner
  • Coordinate import/export shipments (including but not limited to communication with clients, brokers and customs and completion of appropriate trackers) in a timely manner
  • Prepare import and export license applications (including but not limited to preparation of calculations, review of documents and communication with the client and the Ministry of Health)
  • Communicates with the Ministry of Health (obtaining Import and Export licenses and submission of clarification requests) and all other applicable regulatory authorities
  • Communicate with customs brokers and customs (including but not limited to coordination of the flow of documents and preparation of explanation letters)
  • Prepare reports
  • Maintain trackers (including but not limited to KPI and dynamics tracker and IL quota)
  • Review and verifies invoices received from vendors that provide services to Import / Export department • Coordinate certification activities
  • Monitor regulatory requirements

  • A Bachelor’s or higher degree
  • Knowledge of import/export regulatory requirements of the country the executed duties refer to (preferable)
  • Ability to work in stressful environment and complete tasks within narrow time frames.
  • Ability to evaluate situation and use previous experience to identify most appropriate solution
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
