At ICON, we have an incredible opportunity for a Security Architect to join the team in our Chennai, India location.

The Security Architect will play a key role in ensuring good practice security standards and architecture models are designed, documented, implemented and maintained throughout ICON systems, cloud and integrations globally.
The Role:
Reporting to a member of the Information Security Management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Perform reviews of new business solutions and ensure they meet security requirements and objectives
- Create high-level security requirements for key security projects
- Create and maintain security architecture artifacts (patterns, blueprints, building blocks, guardrails) aligned with information security policies that can be reused for new solutions and initiatives
- Develop and collaborate on security roadmaps and strategies based on enterprise architecture practices
- Develop component and physical architectures in collaboration with IT and the business to enable security-by-design
- Coordinates with IT Operations and Software Development teams to design and build secure solutions and services in standardized and automatable patterns
- Collaborate with other teams for joint design sessions and decisions
- Represents Information Security across the enterprise and plays a key role in communicating the policies, goals, and road map of the team.
- Collaborates with Enterprise Architecture, Innovation & Analytics, IT, Cybersecurity
- Performs threat modeling on new applications, systems, and services
- Leads complex projects/issues that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas
- Ensure that defined security models are adhered to on an on-going basis.
- Ability to relate technical issues to non-technical associates / business owners
- Demonstrate a strong awareness of the current threat landscape.
- Support MAD (Mergers, acquisitions & Divestment) activities
Required Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have experience of operating in a technically complex, fast changing and dynamic environment. Working as part of a global security team the Security Architect must be a proven self-starter, have excellent organisational and communications skills. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for Information Security and have the ability to maintain composure in pressure situations. Skills and experience in the following areas is a must:
- NIST cybersecurity framework
- MITRE ATT&CK Framework
- Architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF, SABSA
- Solid understanding of SOAR
- Solid understanding of vulnerability management
- Information Security Standards
- Strong knowledge of Operating systems
- Application layer attacks
- Strong understanding of Encryption Protocols
- Strong understanding of Network Security
- Strong knowledge of Mobile Security
- Experience of network-based User Behavior Analytics
- Strong understanding of Layered Security
- Strong Knowledge of Cloud Architecture
Qualifications
- At least 9+ years of IT experience, including 5 years of combined experience in Information Security and Security Architecture.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related IT field or equivalent experience
- One or more common security certifications, such as CISSP, SANS GIAC (distinct advantage)
- One or more common security architect certifications, such as SANS GIAC (distinct advantage), SABSA
- Hands-on multi-cloud experience, with one or more certifications
- Presented on security topics at security conferences
