IT Internship (Dublin - 6 weeks duration)

We have an unpaid 6-week IT internship opporunity for IT students starting in early July. This role is based in leopardstown, South Dublin.

What you will gain:
· Overview of the management of an extremely complex, high value IT Project which affects all

employees in a global organisation
· Understanding of project governance – i.e., tools and methodologies to keep a project on time

and on budget
· Insights into the software development cycle: from analysis to solution architecture to

development through to testing
· Experience of creating/updating Project Management and SDLC artifacts
· Exposure to Agile and Scrum methodologies

What we are looking for from you:
· An enthusiastic, can-do attitude for each task presented
· Good communication skills, both verbal and written
· Some knowledge of the software development lifecycle
· The ability to adapt and learn quickly
· Being able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team

A typical day could include:
· Attending Project Meetings and Workshops and being able to summarise in clear, concise

language key discussion points and action items from meetings
· Preparing presentations/agendas for meetings
· Monitoring progress/Following up with action owners to ensure deliverables achieved on time
· Attending Daily Stand-ups and other Scrum Ceremonies
· Maintenance and update of Risk Logs and Issues Databases
· Shadowing team members as they perform activities such as development/testing
· Attending Business Training sessions providing an overview of the Clinical Research business
· Participating in Team meetings and PMO sessions for an insight into how the IT organisation in ICON works.
