Manager, Investigator Payments Group
 
US - Penn, Philadelphia or Durham, Raleigh
 
This unique and challenging role offers the responsibility for leading the IPG team which provide information, oversee and administer the timely and accurate execution of payments to investigative sites globally whilst managing external and internal customer’s expectations and delivering excellent solutions that ensure all key deliverables and quality targets are managed and met. The successful candidate will also ensure that IPG services revenues and costs are optimally managed.
 
Overview of the role
 
·         Maintain a positive work environment and ensure all necessary training is provided for the team members to improve their skills, performance and knowledge
·         Line management and oversight, including the proactive participation in the selection and recruitment of suitable and qualified staff
·         Develop and maintain positive, strong working relationships with clients, vendors and internal stakeholders
·         Communicate effectively with IPGs stakeholders and clients so that their expectations can be managed accordingly while also ensuring that they continue to receive the highest standards of service from IPG
·         Provide IPG input into the development of proposals and costings, participate in Bid Defence and pre-selling meetings as required
·         Function as a key, senior-level liaison for ICON with clients, as appropriate
·         Drive system performance, compliance and improvement initiatives within IPG and in the wider organisation
·         Oversee the generation of IPG performance metrics, to analyse trends and liaise with senior management in regards to suggestions, delegation and implementation
·         Oversee management of projects and/or direct projects to ensure they are conducted in an effective manner, meetings sponsor timelines and expectations and in adherence with appropriate regulations and ICONs quality standards
·         Travel (approximately 10%) domestic and/or international
 
Role Requirements
 
With a relevant University degree in business, medicine/science, or equivalent, you will ideally have had a successful career within the CRO/Pharmaceutical or Finance industry at a senior, operational and influencing level. In addition you will also have:
  •  Direct experience in managing a team, ideally with proven experience in a global/multi-regional environment
  • Ideally, experience in dealing with escalations, implementing new systems/processes, resourcing needs and planning
  • Ability to successfully manage, positively interact and liaise successfully with all levels of staff at ICON, vendors, and clients, ideally on multiple studies/projects
  • Significant leadership and well developed managerial skills demonstrating the following key Competencies:

Due to the nature of this position it may be required for the employee to travel. Therefore, dependent on the employee’s location, the employee may be required to possess a valid Driver’s licence.
